Our Review of the Zooper Tango double stroller

A plush side by side stroller, the Zooper Tango packs in all the fabulous features found in every Zooper stroller. Suitable for infants and toddlers up to 40 lbs. each, the Tango accepts a single infant car seat. Best for two kids of different ages, the Tango easily folds flat and locks when folded for easy transport.

The 2008 model features even more great features:

  • By moving a support bar forward, Zooper created a bigger basket opening so mom and dad can easily access baby's needs.
  • Separate adjustable footrests increase comfort and safety.
  • With a napper canopy that extends almost to your child's knees, naptime comes easily in crowded or sunny spots.
  • New colors keep baby and mom stylish.

BENEFITS FOR MOM AND DAD
With the Zooper Tango, busy moms and dads accomplish all that life brings with two children. Families go anywhere thanks to the Tango's car seat compatibility and simple, compact fold.

Convenience
Measuring a skinny 30", the Zooper fits through most doors, and still fits four different car-seat brands. Folding the stroller flat, moms quickly pack and go. Locking while folded, Tango stores easily, and at 29 lbs., needs little muscle for lifting.

A dual monitoring window allows mom to keep an eye on babe. Should baby need more comfort, reclining the seat takes only one hand. Mom can take care of herself, too, with the included cup holder. Best of all, the included rainshield, footmuff, and UV screen make the stroller good to go straight away.

Pushability
All-wheel suspension system and swivel wheels make pushing a breeze, plus the front wheels lock for better control over bumpy terrain.

Compatibility
The Zooper Tango accommodates a single infant car seat. Compatible models include:

SAFETY

  • Exceeds North American and European safety standards
  • 5-point harness
  • Safety netting protects fully reclined infants
  • Separate adjustable footrests
  • One-step parking brake

BENEFITS FOR JACK OR JILL
Children ride comfortably with feet fully propped on adjustable footrests. Fully and independently reclining seats mean babies rest soundly. An included raincover and UV sunscreen keeps baby happy and protected on outdoor rides. Little feet stay warm on cold days with the included footmuff.

Comfort
Plush padded seats and a deep recline keep children comfortable whether napping or awake. Adjustable footrests and built-in mesh ventilation add to baby's comfort. When the sun or crowds overwhelm, a substantial canopy blocks them out. Each ride is smooth thanks to shock absorbers.

FEATURES

  • Front guardrail/armrest
  • Parent cup holder
  • Included accessories:
    • Foot Muff
    • Rain Cover
    • UV Sun Shade

COMPARISON
Few side-by-side double strollers are car seat compatible, and still fewer fit a wide range of car seat models. The Peg Perego Aria Twin 60/40 double stroller accommodates one car seat at a time from Peg Perego, and offers the same mobility of the Tango. Parents also appreciate the super light-weight Combi Twin Savvy LX stroller.

ASSEMBLY
Unfold the stroller, snap on the wheels, and you're good to go.

Very happy with the Tango!

Love the Zooper Tango stroller overall. A little heavy, but all double strollers are. Very sturdy, drives very smoothly. Wish it had a tray in front for snacks for the kids. No double stroller is perfect, but this one comes pretty close. Glad we bought the Tango!

Disappointed With The Tango

Reviewer: Anonymous , Encino, CA Date: November 17, 2007
I was extremely happy with my single Peg Perego Pilko stroller, but with a 2 year old and a new baby on the way, I needed a double stroller that would accommodate an infant car seat. So I ordered the Peg Perego Aria 60/40 - the redesigned side by side double stroller designed to accommodate an infant seat and a toddler, but shortly after the retailer contacted me that this product was still in development and would not be released in May 2007 as I was originally told. So I researched strollers and decided on the Zooper Tango. Aesthetically, this is a beautiful stroller. Performance wise it is fair.It has a giant basket, but I am unable to place anything that doesn't fit between the basket top and the seat bottom because I am afraid if I force it the basket will tear. Also, within the first half hour I got it, my two year old sat in it and pulled on the canopy to shade himself, he broke the piece that connects the canopy to the stroller. The company replaced the entire canopy for free , but a couple of months after, it broke again. When I inquired about a replacement the manufacturer this time wanted $35 plus s/h fees - which I felt was a little too pricey. I wouldn't mind paying $20 for it. I used to be a brand/product manager for a toy company and it is obvious that this is a design flaw. The construction is not as sturdy as the Peg Perego, as my son constantly pulls on the canopy of the Peg Perego, but it has never broken. I really wish I had gone with the existing Peg Perego Aria Stroller. I regret purchasing the Zooper Tango.

Super Zooper

Love my Zooper. I researched so many double strollers. I didn't want a big tractor trailer, heavy, cumbersome stroller. I have a newborn and a 2 year old. The double stroller that lets your toddler stand or sit on an itsy bit of space was NOT an option. I also needed to be able to keep my infant in his carseat. The Zooper was the complete answer. Not so heavy (I think about 5 lbs. more than the Maclearan), easy to manuever around, not a problem getting through doors, fits great in the trunk of our Honda Sedan with room to spare and it holds our Graco SnugRide fabulously. I highly recommend this stroller.

We love this stroller!

After much research, we purchased the Zooper Tango for our 2 1/2 year old and one month old. It handles very well, looks great, is very sturdy, and fits easily through doors. We choose this stroller because it was the only side by side stroller I found that accepted the Graco infant seat. Also, my 2 1/2 year old daughter weighs 40 pounds (99th percentile) and fits comfortably in the seat, so we'll be able to use this stroller for many years. We've noted two negatives so far, 1) there is no cup holder or snack tray for my older child and 2)the basket below is pretty small. But these things are very minor considering this stroller has granted me the freedom to take both my toddler and my newborn out by myself with one stroller! Overall, it was an excellent purchase.

I would like to commend the exceptional customer service department. They are very helpful, friendly, and efficient. Keep up the excellent service. I look forward to purchasing more through elitecarseats.com On to the stroller, we enjoyed using and my daughter absolutely LOVE that it comes in her favorite color: Purple! It's nice and sturdy and have a smooth ride. It is a little heavy but then again it is a double stroller. The only thing that I would change about it...is adding a snack tray and cup holders for kids.

Overall a great double stroller

Reviewer: Anonymous , Talladega, AL Date: August 20, 2007
We were searching for a stroller for our 21 month old and 2 month old. We read many reviews and finally decided on the Zooper tango. Overall this is a very well made stroller. We are extremely pleased with the purchase. It is comfortable (fully reclining) and fits easily through doors. Steers welll...we love the single "bar" handle along the back. It is a bit heavy to unload and hard to unfold, but it is worth the effort for a smooth ride with two kids. It also takes up a lot of room, so if you have a small vehicle you may want to rethink. It is difficult to access the basket underneath, but we love the zipper pockets on the back of each hood...this helps for easy access! Some reviews had stated they could not use the "netting" for babies b/c their other child was older (it stretches across both seats). We were able to use it with our newborn and our older child without any problems. Overall a great purchase. We are pleased. This stroller looks nice and rides well!

The Best!!

We have been researching double strollers for 4 months - trying to find one that meets even some of our requirements is ridiculously hard. Then, I found a passing reference to the Zooper. The rest is history. It has most of the things we were looking for in a double stroller! Would have loved an infant cup holder or tray... 1. Steering 2 toddlers is a dream. I can actually use one hand to turn on a dime. 2. The under basket storage is HUGE and very stable. 3. Individual room - Compared to all (and I do mean ALL) of the other strollers we looked at, the Zooper has the most in-seat room. The combi, for example, practically squishes the two kids compared to the Zooper. 4. BOTH seats recine FULLY - impossible to find anywhere else. 5. It is stylish and comes WITH a rainshield, a sunshield, AND an insulated boot. They aren't expensive options - they come with the stroller! Amazing! 6. It is a side-by-side that fits through every doorway I have tried and folds practically flat. 7. It doesn't feel like it is going to fall apart after a week. VERY solid construction. All in all, it is the best stroller we have ever tried and the boys actually want to climb in on their own. ps - can also accomodate an infant carrier! WE LOVE IT!

Great stoller

Reviewer: Anonymous , Amarillo TX Date: June 04, 2007
I am not sure how the person who wrote an opinion of this stroller in Dec of '06 had this exact stroller...I thought it had not come out until spring of '07?? Either way...I have a toddler (26lbs) and an infant (10lbs) I love this stroller. It handles very well. There is a slight pull when pushing two children of significantly different weights when on a slant like a drive way, etc but that is going to happen with any side by side and there's no way around it. My BIGGEST complaint is that the baskets are extremely difficult to get to because a bar is in the way. There is plenty of storage down there...you just can't get to it because of this bar. Other than that, I love it. It fits well through most doors, the ability to recline all the way is a huge plus with a newborn and I have great comfort with all of the infant restraints and safety features. The safety net extends all the way across but you can tuck in one side if you've got a toddler who doesn't need it and an infant who does. I do think the price is really high but as far as I am concerned, there's nothing else like it out there and it was a good investment that I hope lasts us several years!

I'm Glad I Chose This Stroller!!

I had a used tandem before this one and it was such a pain to use that I would avoid going out. Well, when you are a stay-at-home mom, you need to get out!!

I've got 2 kids; 3 months and 2 years. I did a lot of research on which side-by-side to get. I liked a lot of the features of the Zooper Tango and the ratings seemed to be good. Well, I am very glad I chose to buy it! It is a night and day difference from my tandem.

The Tango is so easy to steer and the ride is smooth. My 2 year old loves sitting beside her sister. The seats are nice and roomy. I love the large zipper pocket to put my keys and cell phone in. I took it to the mall yesterday and had no trouble getting it through doorways (just make sure the wheels are aligned in the forward position). I could actually walk with a coffee in one hand and pushing the stroller in the other! It's also easier to view both your kids because they are beside each other.

The basket is huge and easy to access. It comes with a rain cover and sunshade which are accessories I don't have to spend more money on to buy. I love the stroller! The world of strollers can be confusing, there are almost too many choices but I am grateful that I clearly picked the right one for my needs. The quality is wonderful and very easy to fold/unfold. GREAT PRODUCT!
