Our Review of the Tike Tech Trax360 Single stroller

ON SALE for $219.99! Regularly priced at $269.99. Save $50 (over 18%)

The Tike Tech Trax 360 is an extremely light and easy to push swivel wheeled stroller, priced far below many other swivel wheel jogging strollers. Built with Tike Tech's usual emphasis on comfort and quality, the Trax 360 is a maneuverable and easy to manage urban stroller that will serve you and your child for many years.

What does the Tike Tech Trax 360 offer you?

The all terrain Tike Tech Trax 360 stroller may not offer a lot of bells and whistles (such as a parent console or suspension system) but it makes up the difference with a huge emphasis on passenger comfort. The Trax 360 single stroller's seat has extra structure and support throughout the backrest and bottom to prevent the slouching you get with standard, hammock-style stroller seats. This makes for an all around enjoyable ride for your baby of 6 weeks to 60 lbs.

Thanks to the small fold and light frame, the Trax 360 is easy for suburbanites to get their walking stroller in and out of the trunk easily. In addition, the front swivel wheel locks into a stationary position that offers better handling on questionable terrain. Thanks to the adjustable height handlebar, mom or dad can push the 360 with confidence . . . and no slouching.

The slick air filled tires and one-touch brakes of the Tike Tech Trax 360 have city dwellers in mind - both of these features are great for wet and sloping city streets. Weaving through crowds at the mall or on city sidewalks is easy with a swivel wheel, and the large underside basket and auxiliary storage space in the canopy and seat provide extra space for necessities both big and small.

A retractable moon roof in the canopy lets you peek through the oversized canopy to check on your kid, and even though there's no parent console or cupholder, you can always purchase one separately. Tike Tech also offers a new Tike Tech Car Seat Adaptor that works with:

  • Graco SnugRide
  • Peg Perego Primo Viaggio
  • Britax Companion
  • Evenflo infant carseats.

What does the Tike Tech Trax 360 offer your tike?

Babies as young as 6 weeks can ride in cushy comfort in the deep, contoured and padded Lowride seat of the Trax 360. To make the seat even more snug and secure for an infant, check out the plush Tike Tech Padded Insert.

The Trax 360 walking stroller offers one of the deepest seat reclines on the market, and one of the best seat ventilation systems as well, and kids of all ages love the padded, adjustable, and fully removable belly bar in front the of the seat. They can hang onto it, hang things from it, or use it to climb in and out of the seat, jungle gym style.

Bottom Line: The Tike Tech Trax 360 single stroller is the absolute lightest swivel wheel jogging stroller we carry, and we stand firmly behind Tech Tech strollers. The Trax 360 offers high quality mobility at a very reasonable price, and one of the best seats you'll find. If you're on a budget, you will definitely be satisfied with this stroller. It may not be as fashionable as some other shopping strollers, but it really delivers on functionality.

The closest comparisons to the Tike Tech Trax 360 would be the BOB Revolution or Dreamer Design Manhattan Lite. The BOB Revolution offers shocks, bigger rear tires, and an adjustable locking front wheel . . . all of which translates into jogging stroller potential. The Dreamer Design Manhattan Lite is less expensive and has a 'bubble' canopy with more coverage options than the Tike Tech. However, the Manhattan Lite is not car seat compatible.

One Year Later

3
Reviewer: Lily , Davis, CA Date: August 19, 2008
As a savvy shopper, I always like to read reviews on products I want to purchase. However, most reviews are written shortly after the reviewer receives the product; when everything is in mint condition. Rarely do I find a review of a product after its been used for some time. Well... here it is; my review of the Tike Tech Trax 360 one year later. I now think it is not so great of a stroller, just O.K. I'm not sure if I would buy it again. But you can read futher and decide for yourself. The buckles on the harness are still difficult to undo. They never "loosened up" as I had hope. Therefore, its still a pain to get my now 1 1/2 year old toddler in and out of the stroller. About a month ago, we had to replace both bearings in the front wheel. They both broke and the stroller started to veer to the left. It was a special bearing that cannot be found in any bike shop here in Davis (bike city capital of America). It had to be special ordered. I was disappointed that we had to replace the bearing just after 1 year of use. One more feature that I absolutely dislike: it is impossible to connect the valve of a pump onto the valve stem of the tire. The manufacture obviously did not consider accessibility of the valve stem when they designed the wheels. The spokes on the wheels completely blockes you from accessing the valve stem. It is a TERRIBLE design! Hope none of you who bought it never experience a flat tire. As I mentioned before, I now only think this is an O.K. stroller therefore my rating has dropped from 4 stars to 3 stars.

Great stroller, good price

Reviewer: Anonymous , Seattle, WA Date: May 07, 2008
The Tike Tech Trax360 has lots of great features I wanted for an all terrain stroller for a good price (not $400 or so like the others). It has a nice padded seat with enough space for growth for my 90th percentile 10 month old. The weight limit is more than others in the same category (although not the highest you can get. The sun shade is big and does pull forward all the way if you release the velcro by the handle. The adjustable handle was key as I am 5'7" and husband is 6'3". I thought we would want suspension but turns out it is not important for us as we are not running with the stroller. The included bumper bar is great for baby to hold. The underseat basket is a decent size and pretty easy to reach (more accessible than Baby Jogger I thought). Our son loves the stroller and gets comfy and sleeps in it too. The seat reclines easily by pulling or loosening both straps on either side of the back of the seat. You can fold this stroller so easily-pull two levers with index fingers and it goes down. It seems to stay shut by itself with no strap needed. Unfolding is just pull it apart and it locks in place. It is not too heavy to put in and out of your car easily. We have a minivan so space in the trunk was not a concern. Any jogger type stroller will take up a good amount of space in your trunk. It is light to push and smooth handling. My only complaint is the harness system. The shoulder straps attach to the waist strap with a clip mechanism that is hard to push open. We leave one side clipped in and slide his leg through the opening so as not to have to reattach both every time. Also, it is hard to get a snug fit on the harness. I find the shoulder straps slipping off sometimes. I hope they can make this harness better as our cheaper umbrella stroller has better than this. I researched strollers forever to find the right one for us. This was a good compromise on product and price. Although some pricier ones might be a bit nicer it was not worth the bigger price tag. We looked in person at others and just weren't convinced to buy until we found this one.

Great Stroller

Reviewer: Anonymous , Tokyo, Japan Date: March 30, 2008
We have had this stoller for about 2 weeks and we love it. It is a very smooth ride for the little one and soooo easy to push. It almost seems self propelled. Our daughter is 15 months, so we haven't had it laid flat, only straight up. She loves it, she's up enough to look around and see everything, plus she loves the grab bar. The canopy provides good coverage and the rain cover is super easy to put on. My only complaint is the storage basket, while it is a good size, it can be a bit hard to get a package or bag in. We have the lime green one and love the color, we have gotten a lot of compliments. Great stroller, I highly recommend.

Love the feel of this stroller

Reviewer: LP mom of 2 , Cleveland,OH Date: March 21, 2008
I cannot rave enough about this stroller. It performs well, looks very cool and the price could not be more reasonable. I have compared this model to many other models and this stroller is as good if not better then many higher priced strollers. Back in January, I had wished for bigger wheels on the back to handle the snow. I contacted tike tech and purchased an extra set of the larger sixteen inch wheels. Now I am able to exchange the wheels as per my needs. I feel like I have two strollers in one. Tike tech has picture of the month contest and one of my friends did win and received an insert for free. I recently submitted a picture to tike tech with a chance to win a free accessory. Hope I win!

Trax360 is a Great Purchase

5
Reviewer: Happy Mom and Baby , Miami,FL Date: February 28, 2008
We are getting on to six months of use with this stroller with total satisfaction. We have a few strollers and this one seems to get all the use now. I do not have a single complaint. I like everything about this stroller and use it everyday. We just purchased the rain cover and it is awesome. It is easy to attach and has a good tight fit feel to it when attached to the stroller. This cover does not blow away at all, even with a heavy wind different then other covers we have that blow all over the place. My sister in-law is having a bay soon and I am going to get one of these with the car seat adapter for her.Great stroller!

Awesome stroller!

Reviewer: Deanna , New York,NY Date: February 24, 2008
After deciding we wanted a stroller with air wheels we quickly searched around hoping to find the right stroller. We were looking for a stroller that we could easily maneuver, that offered good storage and that we could get active with. This stroller fit the profile perfectly. After testing out a friend's trax360 I knew this was the stroller for us. It is a great deal and is certainly a top of the line stroller. There is not a single feature the stroller is missing. This stroller offers great comfort for my baby which is most important. The colors are great as well. We have the blue which is a fabulous color. We love this stroller and try not to miss a day of strolling in Central Park.

Very Happy with this stroller!

Reviewer: Anonymous , San Francisco, CA Date: December 22, 2007
Great, amazing, fantastic! I am blown away by this stroller. I purchased it because 2 friends recommended it. I had a hard time dealing with spending the $269 but I did notice that there were even more expensive strollers with the front wheel swivel feature we wanted ,so this stroller seemed to be the best choice for us. When we received it and put it all together (which was simple for us to do) I must admit I was blown away by how high tech it looked and how many great features the stroller offered. Now after some use I am very happy with this stroller. I feel like we made the right purchase. I cannot believe how many people compliment us on this stroller (really, it's kind of funny). We always get asked where we purchased it and we always say go to this website, they are the best!

Great City stroller!

5
Reviewer: Lisa Gremen , Los Angeles,CA Date: December 02, 2007
This stroller is totally amazing. I love everything about it. We first tested a bunch at a local specialty shop. We then narrowed it down to three strollers and decided on the trax360. What sold us on this stroller was that it had everything more expensive strollers had and even more, like an adjustable handle bar, seat grab bar, etc. The only feature this stroller did not have was suspension which we did not care about. What ultimately sold us on the trax360 was the seat (which is truly great, no slouch at all with a generous recline) and the price could not be more reasonable. You really do get a fully loaded stroller equally as good as the other more expensive strollers. It is light weight and pushes quite nicely. After ordering the stroller joggingstroller.com shipped it the very next day which made us very happy. Thanks to all!

Happy with the Tike Tech Trax360

4
Reviewer: Lily , Davis, CA Date: July 24, 2007
If you are not a marathon runner but enjoy jogging and want to bring your baby with you, this is the stroller for you. It is a great stroller for the price. It met all of my purchase requirements: light weight, easy to fold, swivel front wheel (turns on a dime), a smoothe, comfortable ride, and a reclining backrest. The canopy, although it is not made to come all the way down, can be pulled ALL THE WAY DOWN if you unsnap it and velcro it to the back cover and extend it over the push handle. My only complaint is that it is a pain in the butt to put my 5 month old son through the five point harness. It is poorly design because the buckles are very hard to undo. It takes both my husband and I to strap in our son because he is so squirmy (but what baby isn't?). It is nearly impossible for me to put him in and take him out by myself. With that said, he is very securely strapped in and I am at peace with his safety. Hopefully it will be easier to get him in and out when he is older. Because of the poorly designed 5 point harness, I am rating it at 4 stars, otherwise it is a great stroller.
