The Peg Perego Uno stroller is the epitome of luxury and style in Italian stroller design, bringing together all the most useful features, conveniences, and creature comforts together to create the most deluxe Peg Perego travel system stroller yet. Utilizing the increasingly popular wheel configuration as Bugaboo strollers and the Britax Vigour, the Peg Perego Uno has large rear wheels that absorb bumps and smaller swivel wheels up front for tight turns.
With the Peg Perego Uno stroller, you get top-notch maneuverability and one of the smoothest rides available with European all-terrain strollers. The large rear wheels and all-wheel suspension system makes tackling terrains usually too tough for a flimsy umbrella stroller a breeze. On top of that, the Uno's spacious seat sports some of the most deluxe padding and fabrics ever offered – with thick, comfortable pads running from the headrest to the footrest, and along the sides of the seat as well. En Italiano, everything about the Italian made Peg Perego Uno says "comodita di passeggero" . . . or "Passenger comfort".
In addition to the great seat and suspension, the Peg Perego Uno offers a reclining seat, a big up-front console for food, toys, or drinks, and an included infant boot for insulation on cold days. The tray of the console is removable and washable, and the entire seat reclines to three different positions for maximum relaxation. The seat of the Uno converts into a carriage, or pram, by adjusting backrest, footrest, and reversing the handle position.
The Uno Freedom of Movement
The unique Freedom of Movement Harness that comes with the Uno keeps your son or daughter secure and comfortable at the same time. To attach the harness to the stroller and keep them snug, you hook the shoulder straps into the backrest. For greater freedom of movement, simply un-hook the harness from the backrest.
For mom, dad, or whoever is in charge of making this luxurious single stroller roll, the Peg Perego Uno offers all sorts of conveniences to make the experience that much more pleasant. For starters, an adjustable height handle reverses to make the seat forward or rear facing, and a cupholder hangs on the side for your beverages.
Another handle that makes carrying your Uno when folded much easier, and beneath the seat you'll find a very large storage basket that is spring-loaded to make getting essential items in and out a snap.
Of course, the Peg Perego Uno stroller is part of a complete Peg Perego travel system. The Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP infant car seat locks directly into the seat, and an included adaptor strap allows you to use the Uno with other manufacturer's infant carseats.
Bottom Line: The durable frame, elegant wheel configuration, plush fabrics, and overall assembly of the Peg Perego Uno make it a highly desirable all terrain stroller. The seat just can't be beat, and the suspension system and maneuverable wheels mean you should have no trouble getting where you need to be without bugging your baby. The price may be prohibitive for some, but with the Uno you're getting most of the benefits offered with Bugaboo baby strollers – without the Extremely High price tag and greater carseat compatibility.
