Parents of Invention Sidekick baby carrier

Before I got this bag I did some research about it and I found a lot of negative comments about it. I don't know if these people bought this bag already but so far, everything seems perfect with this bag. My son and I love it! It is cleverly designed and it is light. Ihe strap kind of puts pressure on your neck but it is not too bad. I just added the feeding bottle insulation sleeve to the padding of the strap and that helped a lot, problem solved!

I was very happy with the SideKick Diaper Bag at first. It has lots of handy pockets and is cleverly designed with the carrier inside. It is very practical, but very poor quality. Within one week, the first zipper broke on the bottom of the bag. Then a couple months later another zipper broke completely off. Now, the main zipper I use the most to keep my keys in, gets stuck shut all the time and won't open until you try over and over (and I'm not overfilling the bag). So,I called the Parents of Invention # and they shipped me a new free bag within 3 days... great service! I am willing to give this bag another try.

This is a life save with 2 little ones and either can go in this, it frees up my hands and I do not have an additional bag! I LOVE IT! It is not the most comfortable after long jaunts but what carrier is???? and the zipper at the top is tough to zip, but you only zip it when you convert from carrier to bag, which for me I am usually at the car and it is not that big of a deal

After lots of info collecting and all the positive reviews from users,I was really excited when I received this carrier, but I decided to return it right after the first try-on. The reason is simple - It doesn't fit me.

I am small, 5"2 and 100pbs, the waist belt would be still lose if I slide the adjustable belt to the end, so does the neck-belt.

It might be fine for regular sized mothers, but if you are a small person like me, you'd better try something else.

I purchased one of these bags thinking “what a great idea”. Just to be extremely disappointed in it’s manufacturing. I truly wonder if the Parents of Invention had an actual parent test this thing out before placing it on the market for hopeful yet unsuspecting parents to waste $80.00 on. The zippers stick, and the most important zipper would come unzipped and actually broke just a couple of weeks after I bought the bag. There is some velcro that is applied backwards and scratches your arm when you use this as a carrier. I do not carry much in my diaper bag and although the weight was not a problem for me, I did find that the snap does not stay snapped. My husband refuses to carry this bag when he takes our son out and prefers the free diaper bag that the hospital gave us. Overall, if you need a hip sling, get a hip sling and put it in your favorite diaper bag.
