Our Review of the InSTEP Run Around Single stroller
InSTEP offers some of the lightest and most affordable jogging strollers available at JoggingStroller.com, with the InSTEP Run Around and Run Around LTD single strollers being the two lowest priced joggers on our InSTEP roster.
The InSTEP Run Around jogging stroller doesn't offer as many features as deluxe models from Baby Jogger or the BOB Ironman, but the Run Around's durable, lightweight steel frame and 16" air-filled tires will provide you with all the stroller essentials required to maintain a healthy lifestyle while spending time with your child.
The InSTEP Run Around rides on the same basic frame as the Schwinn Free Runner ST, but unlike the Free Runner ST, the Run Around features mag wheels instead of spoked steel. This difference results in a slightly higher weight for the Run Around, and the benefit of rustproof wheels.
In addition, the handbrake, 5-point harness and tether strap provide additional safety. The Run Around also folds for storage and transportation, though not as compactly as some other jogging stroller models.
Bottom Line: The Instep Run Around is a "bare-essentials" jogging stroller: a stripped down design for parents who want to keep moving but don't want to damage their pockets. For another $20 you can purchase the InStep Run Around LTD, which has the added features of an underside basket, parent console for food and drinks, rear-wheel suspension for a smoother ride, slightly heavier spoked wheels, and more color choices.
Beyond the Run Around LTD is the InSTEP Ultra Runner, which has all the features of the Run Around LTD plus a padded seat and a larger, adjustable sun canopy.
