Our Review of the Gentle Air Child air bed

The GentleAir Portable Child Air Bed is an awesome option for sleepovers, hotel rooms, camping, or vacations - any place your child might need to get a good night's sleep while away from home. The sleep surface is a bit over 4 feet long and 2 feet wide - and around it, a raised 4" air cushion helps prevent rolling off of the bed.

The GentleAir Child Bed can be used with twin-size sheets, and the non-allergenic PVC surface is easy to clean - simply wipe it down with a damp cloth. The surface of the bed is coated with a velvety soft cloth, which helps hold the sheets in place, and adds a layer of insulation.

This is a pretty tough toddler bed - although it is designed for kids 3 and up, it can hold up to 200 pounds without bursting - so rough-housing kids at a slumber party shouldn't be a threat. Inflation and deflation is quick and easy enough for a child to handle (not recommended) - the hands-free battery-operated pump blows the bed up within a minute, and the valve deflates it in about 15 seconds. A handy backpack is provided to transport the bed from place to place within.

The Perfect Choice

I had recently returned a similar product because it did not hold air. The Gentle Air Child Bed had a much more superior pump and pump fitting, and held air very well for the month long visit of my 3 year old grandson. It now serves as an occasional overnight bed for my 5 year old granddaughter, she loves it! During the month long visit, it also served as a play space, and held up to the use very well. The only improvement would be to make it easier to clean. But I was extremely satisfied.

After returning another type of child air bed, I was a little anxious about whether or not ANY one would work well. Your bed was outstanding - the pump and valve system is superior to others I have seen, and the bed lost very little air over the course of a one month visit from my 3 year old grandson. It cleaned exceptionally well also, and the backpack storage is a great plus. My 5 year old granddaughter also used it recently, and it worked well for her too. Couldn't be happier with it!

He loves it!

I bought this for my 4 year old for when we travel this summer as he rolled right out of the Ready Bed I bought (and returned). Well he has been sleeping on it for a week now since we got it, and he loves it! He looks so peaceful in it and has not rolled out once. Also since we're newly potty trained when there's an accident, it is super easy to clean! The fitted sheet I put on it stays put and doesn't slide off (which is good because the fitted sheet doesn't fit perfectly you have to tuck it under a fair bit on one end). Needless to say, it is a hit and I would highly recommend it!!!

Great for Many Reasons

I purchased two of the Gentle Air child's bed for my nieces, age 4 & 7 a little over a year ago. Their family travels and camps quite a bit, and they found that these beds are great because of their portability and comfort. Best of all, however, was how much the girls liked them. They would actually choose to sleep on the Gentle Air bed rather than their own beds when they return home from their travels. One other big, and unexpected benefit is that they reduce the girls problems with allergies. Because the Gentle Air bed doesn't absorb dust and "bad stuff",when the girls allergies are acting up, a few nights on the Air bed provides them with a good nights sleep and reduces their symptoms. How great is that? I can confidently recommend this for younger children.

I obtained the child bed a few weeks ago and was immediately impressed by its quality and ease of use. The motor for pumping up the beds is particularly useful. My daughter loves it and uses it all the time. Great thing to have and would highly recommend it.

Great bed!

Our 2 year old, having previously only slept in her crib or a pack & play, loves this bed. It is quiet, unlike the Toddler Ready Bed that we had bought at Costco which makes SO much noise every time she rolls over or moves. It is easy to pack up inside the back pack and easy to inflate. I recommend this bed.
